Want to change the world?
Start by changing the life
of one person.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
Defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
When I heard about the work that Compassion International does, my heart was overjoyed. When I saw firsthand the work that they do, I wanted to tell everyone I knew! There are so many needs in the world that often I get overwhelmed just thinking about them. But that’s why Compassion is so awesome. They don’t just cover one need… they cover so many of them! One child at a time. When you sponsor a child, you not only rescue them from sex trafficking and child soldier rebels, but from starvation and disease. You not only give them an education, but the keys to life through Jesus Christ. The devastating part about poverty is not the lack of “things”… it’s the complete void of hope.
When you sponsor a child, you show them that their life matters. There is nothing more rewarding in this world than getting to be a part of that kind of life change.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has personally changed my life. God used them to restore my hope and dreams after they had been trampled on by cancer. I can’t speak highly enough of the incredible work that they do to provide wishes for children with life-threatening diseases. They go above and beyond for every child. Check out the number of ways that you can be a part of helping a child’s wish come true!
Above I have shared two of my absolute favorite organizations! But there are many out there, so I thought I’d list a few more based on different passions that one might have. While I couldn’t begin to list them all… here are a few that I recommend!
